About this course

A strong business degree is an incredible start to an advancing career. By combining it with accounting students will have the chance to build a firm foundation in business with a strong focus on accounting practices. On BA (Hons) Business and Accounting programme, students will study a whole range of key business areas, including accounting, marketing, operations, management, human resources and the role of business in society. They'll also explore everything from strategic leadership, performance and business management to ethics, enterprise and creative problem-solving. Alongside traditional teaching methods of lectures, seminars and tutorials, the University of Hertfordshire operates a web-based student support system called StudyNet where learners can expect to find a range of material and communications about every module. Students have the chance to enhance their employability skills by undertaking a 12-month work placement to gain the first-hand experience. This will help them develop strong intellectual capabilities. They can also choose to study abroad for a year at one of the partner universities worldwide.
