Finance is the study of the theory and practice of financial decision-making, and is particularly concerned with the theory and practice of risk reduction in financial decision-making. Mathematics has been central to the development of accounting and finance for hundreds of years. The Finance and Mathematics programme of the University of Glasgow combines these two disciplines.
